A scarce first edition of La Femme qui a connu l’Empereur by Hugues Rebell (Georges Grassal), published in Paris by Mercure de France in 1898. Issued on regular paper, the novel reflects Rebell’s fascination with history and sensuality and belongs to the Fin de Siècle milieu. The book includes a printed dedication to the poet Lionel des Rieux.

Bound in quarter cloth with patterned paper boards, it measures about 19.5 × 13 cm. Condition is good to fair: the paper is toned and foxed throughout, the binding is sound with wear to corners and edges, and the text is clean.

This is a complete three-volume set of the Short-Title Catalogue of Books Printed in England, Scotland, & Ireland, 1475–1640*, Second Edition, Revised and Enlarged, commonly known as Pollard & Redgrave (STC). Published by The Bibliographical Society, London, it is the standard reference for English books printed before 1641. Volume I (A–H) was published in 1986 and revised by Jackson, Ferguson, and Pantzer; Volume II (I–Z) in 1976; and Volume III (Indexes and Addenda) in 1991, including the Chronological Index. This exceptionally rare, complete three-volume set of Indian Medicinal Plants by Kirtikar & Basu was published in Tokyo in 1944 by Teikoku Shuppan Co., Ltd., despite the title pages replicating the original 1918 Allahabad edition. Limited to only 200 copies, it was likely produced for Japanese military or academic use during WWII. The set includes Text Part I, Text Part II, and the Plates Volume with detailed botanical lithographs. Condition is Good Vintage / Fair, with heavy age-toning and browning typical of wartime “senka-shi” paper. Original black cloth bindings are firm and intact, and the text and illustrations remain clear and legible.

This is the complete seven-volume set of the monumental Sanskrit-Wörterbuch by Otto Böhtlingk and Rudolph Roth, often called the “Great St. Petersburg Dictionary.” This 1976 Japanese facsimile edition, published by Meicho-Fukyu-Kai, faithfully reproduces the original St. Petersburg Academy of Sciences edition (1855–1875).
