This is a scarce and important academic book titled Physiologic Disposition of Drugs of Abuse, published in the United States in 1976. It offers an early scientific look at how the body processes drugs of abuse, a major research topic in the 1970s. Written by Louis Lemberger, M.D., Ph.D., and Alan Rubin, Ph.D., from the Lilly Laboratory and Indiana University School of Medicine, it is Volume 1 of the Monographs in Pharmacology and Physiology series. The original paper dust jacket has a bold 1970s-style design showing human anatomy and drug-related imagery, but it also has handwritten notes of unknown origin.
