A classic 19th-century topographical work, Great Britain Illustrated: A Series of Original Views (London, Charles Tilt, 1830), featuring William Westall’s drawings engraved on steel by Edward Finden, with descriptive text by Thomas Moule. Contains approximately 118 views on 59 steel-engraved plates, capturing Georgian and early Victorian England, including London, Manchester, Liverpool, Edinburgh, and various castles and abbeys. Bound in contemporary full dark leather with blind-stamped decoration and gilt spine title. Condition: Grade C / Fair heavy foxing throughout, worn leather with spine chipping and rubbed corners, hinges tender but binding holding. A desirable example of Westall’s art, suitable for study or plate harvesting.
