Bound in half red leather with marbled boards. Royal 8vo. Spine with seven compartments and six raised bands. No lettering to spine. Top edge, endpapers, and boards marbled. With half-title page only; the title page has lost its printed surface, though the paper substrate remains intact and the central portion is still present. Ownership inscription to front flyleaf. "Sixième Édition Revue, Corrigée" is legible; the edition is presumed to date from circa 1912. Loss of printed surface to pp. 264, 265, 266, and 1697. Tape repair to p. 267. Contemporary annotation to margin of p. 370. Minor wear, but the binding remains sound.
