Bound in full worn green leather decorated on boards with tooled and stamped borders, gilt borders and gilt stamped floral patterns; spine with five raised bands and gilt decorations and titles; all edges marbled. The front board has some damage to the bottom right hand corner. One of the internal end papers has the signature of Mary Dawson, Jan.1st 1842.Hinges and binding is in good condition. Pages are lightly tanned with minor foxing throughout.
