Large 8vo.Bound in the publisher’s original light green cloth, with gilt titling to the spine and a finely gilt decorative device to the upper board, depicting the Medici coat of arms: an oval shield charged with the six palle, surmounted by a cardinal’s galero with pendant tassels, framed by ornamental scrollwork. Tinted top edge. A small bookseller’s label affixed to the front pastedown. Minor foxing to the endpapers. The rear endpaper bears a previous owner’s signature and date. The text shows slight, even age-related toning, but remains generally clean throughout. A tight and sound copy.
