This is a complete two-volume set of Hymns of the Rgveda, translated into English with a Popular Commentary by the well-known Indologist Ralph T. H. Griffith. First published in 1889, Griffith’s translation is a major work in Western Indology and is respected for following the original Vedic text closely, using traditional commentaries such as that of Sāyaṇa. This set is the Revised and Enlarged 1987 Edition, published by Munshiram Manoharlal (MRML) in New Delhi, a leading publisher of Indology and philosophy since 1952. The 1987 edition includes updated transcriptions and corrected indices for modern research use. The books are pictorial hardcovers with a light green leafy design.
