12mo.Bound in contemporary quarter green morocco, with marbled paper-covered boards and marbled endpapers.
The spines are finely decorated in gilt, featuring six raised bands, gilt compartments with repeated floral tooling, and gilt-lettered morocco labels.
The bindings remain tight and sound throughout all volumes, with only minor scuffing, light rubbing, and slight corner wear, entirely consistent with age.
Top edges show light dust-related foxing; fore and bottom edges untrimmed.Internally, the text exhibits occasional light foxing, but remains generally clean and free from markings throughout.
A handsome and well-preserved nineteenth-century scholarly set, retaining its attractive contemporary bindings.
