A historically significant Manchuria Year Book 1931, published by the East-Asiatic Economic Investigation Bureau, Tokyo, the year of the Mukden Incident and the founding of Manchukuo. Includes a complete fold-out map of Manchuria (1:4,200,000), photos such as “Dairen 1908 vs 1930,” and data on geography, administration, military, the South Manchuria Railway, agriculture, and finance. Condition: Fair / Acceptable stained cover with water discoloration, faded spine, heavy foxing throughout; map present and in good condition. Despite wear, a scarce reference for historians of Imperial Japan and Northeast Asia.
