Three volumes complete set. Bound in publisher’s original maroon cloth, decoratively blind-stamped and gilt-lettered to the spines. Covers show general fading, rubbing, and uneven discolouration, with minor fraying to spine ends; rear board of Vol. III slightly rippled. Each volume bears the ownership inscription of L. and F. Heredia, Tula, 1850 on the half-title. Vol. I with an engraved frontispiece portrait of William H. Prescott. Front endpaper of Vol. III cracked at the hinge but binding remains sound; a dog-ear to the front endpaper and a minor crease to the edge of the Contents page. Text clean and well preserved throughout with a few gatherings unopened. A solid and presentable set overall.
