The Work: Villiers de l’Isle-Adam (1838?1889) is a key figure of both Symbolism and the Decadent movement. This collection shows his sharp humor, cutting irony, and proud rejection of ordinary life. It offers an engaging look at the mind behind Ax?l and The Future Eve.
