They were also used in major religions like Jainism and Buddhism. Pischel's grammar was the first to scientifically analyze these languages, creating a foundation for future research.The author, Richard Pischel 1849-1908, was a leading German expert on India who tragically died during his first visit to the country. The publisher, Motilal Banarsidass, is a respected Indian company founded in 1903.This hardcover copy is in good condition for its age, with a strong binding but no dust jacket.
