A complete three-volume set uniformly bound in the publisher's green cloth hardback bindings with gilt-lettered spines. Volume III has slight shelf wear on the rear cover. There are marks on the spine bottoms of all three volumes where labels have been removed. These books were part of the university faculty research collection held in the university library. All volumes have stamps on the lower part of the front endpapers, including 'University Library Faculty Research Grant' and 'Withdrawn' stamps. The text is clean and tidy, with no pen marks. The binding is firm and square. Printed on acid-free,250-year life paper.
