Paste downs and free endpapers are marbled. Front paste down is torn to the upper left corner. Front free endpaper is frayed and chipped at the page edge as are the pages up to the title page. Handwriting by a Joseph Robinson on both front and rear endpapers.Title page is age toned towards the edges, marked and has a closed tear on the bottom edge towards the center.Pages are age toning and worn. Pages 1231-1242 have the bottom right corner torn out, text is missing.Text is bright and clear. Overall a volume in contemporary binding in unrestored condition albeit worn, slightly damaged with loss and marked. No plates or maps present or evidence of them being bound in.
