Her novel A halászó macska utcája tells the difficult life of a family of working class Hungarian emigrants in Paris after World War I. It won the 1936 All-nations Prize Novel Competition of the Pinter Publishing Ltd (London). The title refers to the name of the narrowest street in Paris, Rue du Chat-qui-Pêche (Street of the Fishing Cat). ●アレクサンドル・シュメーマン (1921-1983)
　エストニア出身、主に米国で活躍した正教会の神学者・長司祭。
　20世紀を代表する東方正教神学者の一人で、特に典礼神学 (リトゥルギー神学) の分野で大きな影響を与えました。
　ロシア亡命家庭に生まれ、パリで神学教育を受けた後、アメリカへ渡り、聖ウラジーミル神学校学長を務めました。英語圏における正教神学の確立に大きく貢献した人物です。
