A rare and highly detailed architectural survey titled The Royal Buildings in Nepal, published in 1981 by the Research Mission of the Nippon Institute of Technology and issued by Chuo-Koron Bijutsu Shuppan. The volume presents precise measured drawings—plans, elevations, and sections—of royal palaces in the Kathmandu Valley, including Patan Durbar. Its importance has grown since the 2015 Nepal earthquake, as many of the documented structures were damaged or lost, making this a vital pre-disaster record. The book is in good vintage condition with clean pages and a sound cloth binding; the slipcase shows tanning, foxing, and edge wear. Text in English and Japanese. A scarce scholarly work essential for architects, historians, and preservation specialists.
