With eight colour illustrations, including a frontispiece by Nandalal Bose with the original tissue guard (foxed). English text. Some foxing to the endpapers, and a small bookseller’s label to the rear pastedown. Minor wear to edges and corners, particularly at head and foot of spine. Slight discoloration to the rear cover. The binding remains sound. The text is clean and well-preserved throughout.
A charming copy of Tagore’s poetic reflections on childhood, handsomely produced in a period decorative binding.
