本書は、出身国デンマークのルイジアナ近代美術館で2014年に開催された展覧会”Riverbed”の記録です。
美術館の中全体にアイスランド（両親がアイスランド人）の石を敷き詰め、人工的な川の流れを作り、美術館全体を川床に変貌させました。

写真はイワン・バーン（Iwan Baan）。レム・クールハースやヘルツォーク・ド・ムーロン、ザハ・ハディド、SANAAなどの建築写真を手がけてきた写真家です。

Artist Olafur Eliasson creates art in a wide range of forms—from photography to large-scale installations—exploring themes of natural phenomena and science.
He is known for his immersive, experiential works, such as creating an artificial sun or man-made waterfalls.

This book documents his 2014 exhibition “Riverbed”, held at the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art in his native Denmark.
For the show, Eliasson covered the entire museum floor with stones imported from Iceland (his parents’ homeland) and constructed an artificial stream, transforming the museum into a riverbed-like landscape.
