Nāgārjuna (Author), Candrakīrti (Commentator)、Bibl・・・
This book is a 1970 German reprint of a famous Buddhist academic text. It's a copy of the 1903-1913 St. Petersburg edition from the Bibliotheca Buddhica series. The text is Nāgārjuna's Mūlamadhyamakakārikās, which is the foundational book for the Madhyamaka school of Mahāyāna Buddhism. It explains the important concept of emptiness (śūnyatā). This edition also includes a famous commentary by Candrakīrti and was originally edited by the key scholar Louis de la Vallée Poussin. This book is a paperback in good condition (Grade B) for its age. The covers show wear, some spotting (foxing), and discoloration (toning). The corners are bumped. However, the binding is strong, and the inside pages are clean and unmarked, making it a perfect copy for research. The original St. Petersburg editions are extremely rare and expensive. This 1970 reprint is a high quality, affordable version for any serious student or researcher of Buddhist philosophy.
