This is a complete two-volume 1973–1974 French edition of Lewis Mumford’s The Myth of the Machine, translated by Léo Dilé and published by Fayard in Serge Moscovici’s “Le Phénomène Scientifique” series. Includes Tome I: La Technologie et le Développement humain and Tome II: Le Pentagone de la puissance. Condition: Good (B), with very heavy age-toning and minor cover wear; both volumes remain structurally sound. A scarce early French presentation of Mumford’s critique of technological power—highly collectible for scholars of STS, environmental philosophy, and modern intellectual history.
