This is a complete 2-volume set of the classic reference work Vedic Index of Names and Subjects by A. A. Macdonell and A. B. Keith. This edition is the 1967 Third Reprint, published by the respected Indological press Motilal Banarsidass in India. First issued in 1912, the Vedic Index is still the standard reference for information on Vedic names, places, plants, animals, and social customs.
Condition (Fair / Acceptable): The green cloth bindings show heavy wear. There is major chipping and loss of cloth at the top and bottom of both spines, and the corners are bumped and frayed. The covers have visible soiling and stains. Inside, the pages are heavily browned due to the paper quality typical of the period, with foxing on the opening pages. The bindings remain intact but are shaken, and the hinges show wear. A complete working set, ideal for scholarly use despite significant cosmetic flaws.
