Marcel Moré、Gallimard (NRF)、1963、20.5cm x 14cm
This 1963 Gallimard Collection Blanche volume is a key work of the post-war “Vernian Renaissance,” in which critics reinterpreted Jules Verne through psychoanalysis and structuralism. Moré examines Verne via three themes Music, Misogamy, and the Machine discussing concepts like the “Bachelor Machine” and Verne’s influence on Decadent writers such as Huysmans. Condition is VG+: clean, firmly bound, with an uncreased spine, preserved deckle edges, and uniform age-toning typical of 1960s paper. An excellent copy for collectors of Verniana, science-fiction history, and modern literary criticism.
