This is a rare second printing (1958) of Venoms, an important academic volume first published in 1956. It contains the key papers from the First International Conference on Venoms, held in Berkeley, California, in December 1954. This conference played a major role in establishing venom research—now known as venomology—as a modern scientific field. Edited by Eleanor E. Buckley and Nandor Porges and published as AAAS Publication No. 44, the book presents leading research of the time.
