This is a first-edition hardcover of A Manual of Materia Medica for Medical Students by E. Quin Thornton, M.D., published in 1911 by Lea & Febiger. Thornton, an Assistant Professor at Jefferson Medical College, provides a detailed record of early 20th-century pharmacology, describing the actions, preparations, and dosages of common therapeutic agents, such as Boric Acid. The book is especially notable for its two original Japanese library stamps: a purple-blue vertical stamp from the “K?sa By?in Library” and a red circular stamp from the “K?y?
