Hardback.Bound in the publisher’s original patterned cloth, the boards retaining a clear and attractive textile design. Housed in the original dust jacket.
The dust jacket shows general wear along the edges, with notable chipping and loss to the upper spine and corners. The front flyleaf bears a bookseller’s label with the original price neatly written in pencil. The front hinge paper is cracked; however, the binding remains firm and sound at present. Top edge coloured; the fore-edge shows light foxing. The text block exhibits mild, even age-toning but remains generally clean throughout. Profusely illustrated. A thick and heavy volume.
