This is a rare, historically important pamphlet titled Malaria and Quinine, published in 1927 in Amsterdam by the Bureau for Increasing the Use of Quinine. It is a valuable primary source showing early 20th-century public health efforts and the role of quinine in fighting malaria. The title page includes the Latin motto “Aratro et Quina” inside an engraved emblem. The text features useful historical material, such as the 1923 Mosquito Calendar from the Mississippi State Board of Health and quinine dosage tables from South Carolina. The booklet has a terracotta/red-brown cloth cover with bold black Art Deco–style geometric and mosquito designs, created by H. van den Bosch. Condition is B (Good Used). The cover shows fading, soiling, and heavy shelf wear, with frayed edges. The page edges are strongly age-toned.
