It is the 1970 reprint of the critical edition first prepared by the scholar M. Léon Feer in 1888. It contains the Nidāna-Vagga (Section on Causation), which focuses on Paṭiccasamuppāda (Dependent Origination), the core Buddhist teaching explaining how suffering and rebirth arise. This makes the volume an essential reference for scholars of Buddhism, Indian philosophy, and early Buddhist texts. Condition (Grade B – Good): The grey cloth hardcover is sturdy, with bright gilt lettering on the spine. The binding is tight, with minor shelf wear and light bumping to corners and spine ends. The pages show normal age-related yellowing but are clean and unmarked.
