Second Edition, 1900. Two-volume complete set. Bound in publisher’s original dark red cloth with printed paper spine labels. Top edge gilt; fore and lower edges untrimmed. Cloth slightly rubbed. Decorative patterned endpapers. Portrait frontispieces with tissue guards in each volume. Heavy foxing to the title page and tissue guard of Volume I. Inner hinge paper of Volume I slightly cracked but the binding remains sound. A spare spine label is laid in at the rear of each volume. The text is generally clean throughout.
